VC funding raised by African tech startups totals record breaking US$ 366.8 million in 2016 and are expected to raise more than a billion dollars by 2018 (those numbers exclude “megadeals”, i.e. higher than US$ 100 million).

If you’re not already involved and if you’re not already investing…
The time to get on the plane is now!

Ben White - VC4Africa

According to the 2017 African business outlook survey from The Economist magazine, "companies operating in Africa are already reaping rewards that compare favourably with those of their operations elsewhere".

63% of respondents in The Economist survey indicated that their firms achieved similar or higher margins from Africa-based operations in 2016 when compared with other regions of the world. Respondents indicated that their firms' East Africa-based operations were the most profitable.

The 2017 Afrobytes Conference edition will offer investors the opportunity to connect with those who transform obstacles in Africa into golden opportunities.
